IFLA-L

A general discussion list for the IFLA community

Purpose

The IFLA-L mailing list is an Internet mailing list that distributes information about IFLA services and activities to its membership and interested individuals worldwide. IFLA-L also offers a forum for the submission of items of general interest to the international library community. The goals of the IFLA-L mailing list are:

  • to aid in the distribution of IFLA related information and publications;
  • to facilitate sharing of information on matters of international interest to librarianship;
  • to promote the continuing education of library personnel;
  • to develop, maintain and promote guidelines for library services.

Audience

We encourage individuals and organizations from around the world who are IFLA members or who are interested in IFLA activities to participate.

Administration

IFLA-L is hosted at the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique (INIST) in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy in France and managed by IFLANET. Anyone may send messages to the list, however IFLA-L is a moderated list and extraneous (misdirected or error) or inappropriate messages ("spam" messages) will not be forwarded. To contact the IFLANET Administration, please send a message to: IFLANET@ifla.org
