Ellen R. Tise wins IFLA Presidential election
(2007-2009)

Ellen R. Tise, Senior Director, Library and Information Services, University Stellenbosch, South Africa, has been voted President-elect by IFLA members.
Ellen R. Tise She will begin her two-year term (2007-2009) as President-elect during the IFLA conference in Durban this August.

She will succeed Claudia Lux as President in August 2009 for a two-year term, 2009-2011.

The total number of valid ballot papers received for the election for this post was 467, a return rate of 38 %. This represents 1772 votes, 56 % of the possible total.

Two members of staff of the Royal Library of the Netherlands, P.J. Moree and J.J.M. Bos, acted as scrutineers.
